Size 595 squares to fit 600 ceiling tile

This range of Products are supplied in 595mm squares in order to fit perfectly on top of a 600mm suspended ceiling tile.

2 WAY CEILING TILES are a laminate of 3 materials in series, the first being our acoustic Foam, this is 6mm followed by the 2.5mm polymeric BARRIER MAT and then the 6mm acoustic foam again. This material is used to reduce noise from travelling in both directions.

1 WAY CEILING TILES are a laminate of 2 materials in series, the first being our acoustic Foam, this is 6mm followed by the 2.5mm BARRIER MAT. This material is used to prevent noise traveling up into ceiling voids.

B5 CEILING TILES are just plain 2.5mm polymeric BARRIER MAT and are used to add an extra layer of mass to pre insulated ceilings.

The reason the makeup is made like this is you have two open celled foams on the outsides, what the foam does extremely well is absorb sound energy by creating friction between the fibres, if the sound manages to get through the foam facing the direction of the sound, then it gets met by the high-density BARRIER MAT, which has a low absorption, therefore reflection the sound in the direction it came from, therefore allowing each sound source to remain independent.
